Safety Enhanced By a Patented Latch Bolt Design
The new two-piece “smart” latch bolt forms a 90° latch to the strike contact and changes shape when subjected to external forces. Additionally, the patented latch bolt design provides a long-lasting latch bolt/strike contact, not easily affected by the twisting motion of a weak frame. Combine that with a static load force resistance of more than 2,000 pounds—twice that of competitive exit devices—and you have the superior security that you’ve come to expect from Von Duprin.
