    Overview

    The QEL provides electronic control of an exit device where limited operational noise is desired. It is Von Duprin’s choice solution for hospitals, libraries, museums, theaters and any other place where ambient noise is possibly disruptive. 

    The QEL can retract a latchbolt momentarily or on an extended, scheduled basis via access control system. This option is available to be configured on Von Duprin 98/99, 94/95, 33A/35A, and 22 Series panic and fire-rated exit devices; or it can be ordered as a modular kit to retrofit existing devices.

    • Standard 2 amp power supply, enabling longer wire runs from the power source
    • QEL board has electronic LEDs, providing visual indication of potential errors 
    • Auto-adjust latch retraction
    • Vandal resistant

    Von Duprin devices will maintain the following: 

    • ANSI BHMA A156.3 Grade 1, UL305, and UL10C certifications.
    • The QEL is UL and cUL listed for use on panic exit hardware and fire exit hardware.
